Today, Los Angeles County had 2,757 more new confirmed cases than the total from yesterday. This is the second highest single day increase, down 4.2% from the record high increase the day before. The positivity among the past seven days of test results is 11.9%. Cumulatively to date, the positivity of county tests is 9.35%.

New hospitalizations more than doubled today from thirty-nine to ninety-one. New deaths also doubled from twenty-one to forty-three. Inside the hospitals, the current number of COVID-19 patients increased 10.5% from 1,710 to 1,889. The number of patients currently being treated in the ICU increased by 14.6% from 445 to 510. The number of patients on ventilators increased 11.1% from 298 to 331.
