Monday, Los Angeles County had 800 more new confirmed cases than the total announced yesterday. As the county Department of Public Health stated, “The decrease in cases and deaths may reflect a reporting lag from over the weekend.” There were only twelve new hospitalizations today, the same number as yesterday. New deaths dropped from twenty-five down to ten.

The number of COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized decreased 3.6% from 1,451 to 1,399 today. The number of patients currently being treated in the ICU decreased from 435 to 420 while those on ventilators decreased slightly from 305 to 294.
