Today, Los Angeles County had 1,761 more new confirmed cases than the total announced yesterday. This is the county’s fifth highest one day total, the day after the third highest toal with the record setting highest on Wednesday. New hospitalizations plummeted 82.7% from eighty-one down to just fourteen. Similarly, new deaths dropped 78.7% from forty-seven to only ten. It should be kept in mind that Sundays (and Mondays) are typically the days of the week that are under-reported.

Inside the hospitals, the current number of COVID-19 patients increased by 1.4% from 1,406 to 1,426. The number of patients currently being treated in the ICU also increased by the same 1.4% from 408 to 414. The number of patients on ventilators decreased 3.2% from 309 to 299.
