Today, Los Angeles County had 1,601 more new confirmed cases than the total announced yesterday. This is the county’s fifth highest count, following yesterday’s second highest count. New hospitalizations decreased substantially by 35% from ninety-three down to sixty. New deaths dropped substantially by 57.8% from forty-five down to nineteen.

The number of COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized decreased by 1.9% from 1,416 to 1,389. The number of patients currently being treated in the ICU also went down the same 1.9% (again), from 411 to 403. Those patients on ventilators went down 1.8% from 283 to 278.
