Today, Los Angeles County had 1,242 more new confirmed cases than the total announced yesterday. New hospitalizations jumped up by 32% from yesterday’s increase of seventy-five to ninety-nine. New deaths increased 17.3% over yesterday from fifty-two to sixty-one.

The number of COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized went up very slightly from 1,453 to 1,458 today, an increase of just 0.3%. The number of patients currently being treated in the ICU also went up very slightly from 421 to 423. Those patients on ventilators went back down from 320 to 292, a drop of 8.75%.
